3. UK Calculator Specific Notes
Our UK salary calculator uses HMRC Income Tax bands for the 2025/26 tax year. It calculates Income Tax only. It does not include:
- National Insurance contributions
- Pension contributions (auto-enrolment or otherwise)
- Student loan repayments
- Any other payroll deductions
The calculator assumes the standard Personal Allowance (ยฃ12,570) and does not account for Personal Allowance tapering above ยฃ100,000, adjusted tax codes, or other individual circumstances.
4. EU and Global Calculator Specific Notes
Our EU and Global country calculators provide simplified gross-to-net estimates based on national/federal tax rates and standard deductions. These calculators:
- Use publicly available 2024 tax rates (or most recently available)
- Apply standard personal allowances and deductions only
- Do not include state, provincial, regional, cantonal, or local taxes
- Do not account for filing status variations beyond a single standard filer
- Do not include employer-specific benefits, deductions, or arrangements
- Are based on simplified models that may not reflect the full complexity of each country's tax system
These estimates are intended to give a general indication of gross-to-net pay for comparison purposes only. They should not be used for financial planning, salary negotiation, or tax compliance purposes.
